Wild Shore Press will soon release a collection of Sixties icon Ian Whitcomb's Letters From Lotusland. Regular visitors to Ian's website http://www.ianwhitcomb.com) will be familiar with these monthly personal letters which have acted as a diary over many years. Filled with wit and charm as well as intriguing insights into the world of music as seen by one of the great musicians/songwriters of the popular era, the collected Letters will be imperative addition to any music lover¹s book shelf. A small memo from Jane Quinn who shot the cover photo on board a ferry to the Isle of Wight in January 2006:
"I am so pleased that my photo will be used. The thing that made it such a great pic is that Ian was very annoyed with me when I started snapping away. His words as I recall, Why would you want pictures of me on a ferry?! He was having problems getting a normal coffee with heated milk ...no, NOT alatte...) and I think we'd just had a heated debate about some Beatles lyrics. (I thought these lyrics brilliant, Rose and Valerie screaming from the gallery...Maxwell Must Go Free! while he thought it no great achievement to have rhymed Valerie with gallery.) The atmosphere lent itself to this lovely brooding moody photo. One of my favourites and hanging on my office
wall now"....J Quinn

Blackheart Fights Homelessness
With New Version of Christmas Favourite
Blackheart has recorded In The Bleak Midwinter in their own remarkable style replacing the final 3 verses with original lyrics to reflect our current times. The slightly up tempo pace puts Blackheart’s own stamp on this traditional hymn making it contemporary.
The new lyrics reflect topical issues, particularly the issue of homelessness. Richard’s soaring electric guitar at the end give the feeling of flight...hopeful, upward, heavenly.
A percentage of each sale (available from normal download outlets from 20 Oct) will go to Crisis to help fight UK homelessness especially at Christmas.  Please help to make a difference this Christmas.
